The gold-colored iphone from Apple brings to mind that other sought after golden apple--the apple of discord, tossed purposefully into the ring, so many mythemes ago.

So if Apple is selling its own apple of discord, then that would make Apple Paris and all of us goddesses.

Or Apple is Eris and we are all Paris.

It may not matter after the purchase.

We become Aphrodite with the prize. Paris takes his. And for a period of many tumultuous years, that apple wins.
